Sex & the City 2: New York Movie Premiere

So what do we all expect from a movie starred by 40-something women who are more likely rooted to fashion that in actually putting some good piece of acting prowess into film?

Dresses! Shoes! Handbags! Designers! Botox-dependent women! Sarah Jessica Parker looking like a secret love-child of a paint spill and an orange colored self-tan spray-on!

I told you. Albeit I do not find anything extra-special with this dress, sometimes - less is really MORE and SJP has twerked it all her way with this well-played ensemble that caught the sights of non-television viewing bystanders who happen to have found a nice decent spot around the corner.

And let me never forget that once upon a time in terribly flaming weather, the first installment has totally encouraged me to get my ass off a lazyboy couch and queue-in in a chaotic heat-stricken enrollment day just because I felt like walking around as I imagined myself in the streets of New York.

Also spotted were Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Szchor, and other cast of the sequel. The outifts were very-classy, and there were basically no other atendees who crossed the "I'm sane, let me in" borderline and went all out with a crazy get-up. That's a whole lot of good lovin' coming from mid-aged women (Sarah Jessica Parker) who usually wore electrifying (read: INYOURFACE ELECTRIFYING) dresses with a big intricate mash of headband falling off her head and some giant shoulder pads thrown at her chest like she's not ever gonna get taunted by the public. UGHCK. Sometimes we shall all learn how to thank historical circumstances when SJP is on a lay-low mood and is not feeling like she's an 18-year old debutant who throws tanturms on anything that's not brightly colored. So for this one, I LOVE IT! All in all, I love the dresses, especially that of the four main stars who lead the cast of the movie. . .

Until all of the sudden you see Gabourey Sidibe. . .

Wearing a black long-sleeved dress that must have probably been borrowed from their neighborhood's law firm secretary.

Bret Jackson: PBB's Justin Bieber?

Okay, so before I progress with my stupid twaddles, let me first extend to you a forewarning that I am about to talk incessantly about my secret love-affair with Kapamilya TV shows. Since Sky Cable took a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG halt from functioning, I got stuck with local channels almost the entire night. Apparently since I am a true-blue, patriotic staunch who feed on cheesy comic-type love stories and crappy monologues from celebrities, ABS-CBN served me perfectly in my cheer. So here it goes:

First, I was watching Pinoy Big Brother last night. My fellow Davaoena Tricia has again bursted in what she thought was top-rated acting. I thought it was frown-worthy. Fey got kicked out, and a slew of new faces clocked in. And from right there I regarded myself as brilliant because I spotted a resemblance between the Teenternational Housemate Bret Jackson and Toddler-friendly Justin Bieber.

And then when he started swaying his hair, I thought he looked like Zac Efron, too.

And the three of them like plaid tops, too! Ha! ANYHOODLE, enough of Big Brother. So commercials came forth and guess what? Right then I just met the perfect summer movie to watch! I can't wait!!!

Now this is totally the bomb! You have to watch the trailer for you to understand. I am not so fondly attached with the other cast members except for Eugene Domingo and Angelica Panganiban, but I only needed one scene so extraordinary I would really WANT to watch it. Here's the trailer:

Have you seen Angelica Panganiban doing the "Apir, apir, apir" song and dance number?? I died there! Haha. Temporary death, then I resurrected just when Rubi has started. Haha. My, I love you Angelica Panganiban! You're SENSATIONAL!!! I will HAVE to meet you someday although I somehow did when I used to come across you everyday on the 6th floor of Talent Center. Do I now have to get slapped across the face because I am such a fan??

Meanwhile, let me first take a loooong and relaxing hot shower because I still have a book to read. Don't you think my life is so stress-free? This is exactly what I needed. Away from drinks, booze, and late-night stay-ins. BABOOOOSHABLES!!

Vanessa Hudgens in BEASTLY: Official Trailer

So, as I was AGAIN dealing with my customary drills of hippity hopping around your beloved info highway, I stumbled upon this:

The Official HD Trailer for Vanessa Hudgens' BEASTLY - sort of like a modern-day retelling of Beauty and the Beast but MIND YOU, the witch here is the disheveled goddess from right under your sofa bed MARY KATE OLSEN and mercy, why she's so fierce!

Meanwhile, could this picture serve as a profound manifestation that Vanessa Hudgens and co-star Alex Pettyfer are actually PETRIFIED???

And is this because of your disheveled witch Mary Kate?

Is it because it seems like she lost all of her hair in this next picture as she took in the process of pulling out dynamic efforts to look equally as DISHEVELED as Helena Bonham Carter??

Is it because THEY KNEW RIGHT AWAY that she would be a MAJOR SUCCESS in hopes of looking like a DISORDERED, more bagged out look of Helena Bonhan Carter in this next picture???

Are they to blame? Do they really get scared in real life?

Could they be possibly thinking that Mary Kate Olsen is actually a living proof of a grubby midget reincarnation of Helena Bonham Carter?? And am I actually feeling that I am most likely to get a nightmare tonight??

Do I NOW really HAVE to get SCARED?

Haven't you heard?

...that they already released the movie trailer for Sex & The City 2?!?!?

Because I haven't! Hahaha. Just lately. And I love it! Miley Cyrus will be doing a cameo for this, and I can't even wait for the fashion!

Part one helped me get my ass up off the couch and face an absolutely unimaginable searing weather for last semester's enrollement, which also meant that I had to stand the torture of heat prick and ridicule for having awfully flaked skin decorticating off my entire body. And I endured the suffering! I SURVIVED! All because I wanted to go out and walk, and walk, and walk, and bring a coffee tumbler with me, and a really huge bag, and then I'd wear shades, and talk to strangers, and do something really, really stupid just like what all of them do in Hollywood teen flicks, and walk, walk, and walk again, and feel like I'm in New York!

Don't you just love that feeling? Part one was an inspiration!! But since a fraction out of part 2 will be shot in Abu Dhabi, which, according to my imagination, is like a hot, humid, far-flung country where the sun hangs up in there like a dead thing without mercy (something which I really, really frown about), I'm not really sure if I'd like to imagine myself in there.

But I don't know. It looks like a great place! The wide stretch of sand in that field is perfect for sand castles and deep holes where I could bury some people. :) Whatchu think?

The Return of Pinoy Flicks & Third Grade Nostalgia

Do you know what got me by the entire day yesterday while I couldn't go out and the internet decided to take a pun and play some joke on me? This:

I told you I'm the mighty jologs-type!

Basha and Popoy! Happy couple turned bitter whiners, uhhh, who would forget? Remember the line, "Putang ina bash, ganyan ka ba talaga katigas?!"? Classic. I just missed this movie and all my favorite Filipino movies in general! In fact, I decided to tune up on Cinema One the entire afternoon today for some major must-see but for some reason I resorted back to the computer for some bloggin' lovin'.

Just this afternoon, my friend Russell Lelis reminded me of G-Mik the Reunion and now I couldn't stop myself from getting excited to see that film. It took me years to even remember it existed! Aahh, third grade memories. Good times. Hahaha.

==================================================

Meanwhile, to certify my ka-jologs-an, let me share you this: (MUST-SEE!!!)

Now let me pack this up and Imma be gone to buy some ice cream on the grocery as I get ready for one helluva lovin' of a marathon. Ha-ha! Baboosh!
