Man, I still can't believe this! For the first time EVER and for the longest time that I have been shedding tears of disbelief on a school printFUCKINGout, this one has definitely managed to shoot sparkle through my eyes. On my TTH schedule, my first class (read: first of a flying fuck class like can you ever believe this) starts at 4pm!!! AMAZEBALLS!!! For three straight years I always get the 7:45am class on my TTH sched and now I have been so blessed I could almost drown my head in a tub of boiling water! Sooo happy!!!
ANYTWERTLES, have any of you grasped the news of THE Charice Pempengco finally making it up on Glee? That she WILL BE REALLY SHARING A SPOTLIGHT with the brat-looking Lea Michele who also happens to have a Leno chin just like Montag's? This time, it's true. Screw that ex-manager's leak; Entertainment Weekly has already confirmed.
Meanwhile, as I hippity hopped the interwebs to murder time this morning, I landed on this. In fairness:
Odiba akala mo print ad? MAGKARIBAL, the first ever fashion teleserye in the history of Philippine television is starred by Gretchen Barretto, Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsey, Erich Gonzales, and Enchong Dee. Philippine Fashion Industry's most-prized veteran, Angel Aquino, also plays her role as head of Vera Couture.
Wait, Vera what? Wang? Uck whatevs.
Enough of my guilty pinoy showbiz pleasure. So much of all that bogus it sometimes gets too discouraging. Gaaaah! NEXT!
By heavens above, I swear I could hear the angels sing!
And I can badly hear my friend Russell Lelis screaming on a high esplanade like she's only a hundred and five steps away from a Mrs. Russell L. DeWyze marriage certificate! Achieve!
Bravura, bravura! I am soooo gonna bid my entire closet on Lee! He has to win! People (Russell) are so gonna hammer down your pelvic bone if Lee goes anywhere between a runner up and uhh, loser. The last time Lee's fans (Russell) got frustrated on something, they tore down the rotten flesh of a 2 week old human relic and breached out it's jaw and made a headband out of it.
I warned you. Some people are merciless. Lee has to win.
Lovely pizza grandmother! This sixth grader right here is some serious article of singing potential! Have you ever heard of him, like, seriously? The Ellen DeGeneres Show? Because he's been making big waves all over twitter and he's such a sweet piece of innocence! You gotta love him!
Err, a couple of flats, sharps, some long and steady bad falsetto which irked my eardrums to bleed but. . .who am I to judge? I ain't no voice teacher myself so I guess I'll sit down and appreciate. I love this kid! Very confident. He has to get a record deal URGENT! In fact, news ticked my ear that Queen Madge's and GaGa's handlers are talking. Woo, guess some new meat is fitting in. He could possibly be the next Justin Bieber!...or...OMG...Lady GaGa!!!
Okay, so before I progress with my stupid twaddles, let me first extend to you a forewarning that I am about to talk incessantly about my secret love-affair with Kapamilya TV shows. Since Sky Cable took a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG halt from functioning, I got stuck with local channels almost the entire night. Apparently since I am a true-blue, patriotic staunch who feed on cheesy comic-type love stories and crappy monologues from celebrities, ABS-CBN served me perfectly in my cheer. So here it goes:
First, I was watching Pinoy Big Brother last night. My fellow Davaoena Tricia has again bursted in what she thought was top-rated acting. I thought it was frown-worthy. Fey got kicked out, and a slew of new faces clocked in. And from right there I regarded myself as brilliant because I spotted a resemblance between the Teenternational Housemate Bret Jackson and Toddler-friendly Justin Bieber.
And then when he started swaying his hair, I thought he looked like Zac Efron, too.
And the three of them like plaid tops, too! Ha! ANYHOODLE, enough of Big Brother. So commercials came forth and guess what? Right then I just met the perfect summer movie to watch! I can't wait!!!
Now this is totally the bomb! You have to watch the trailer for you to understand. I am not so fondly attached with the other cast members except for Eugene Domingo and Angelica Panganiban, but I only needed one scene so extraordinary I would really WANT to watch it. Here's the trailer:
Have you seen Angelica Panganiban doing the "Apir, apir, apir" song and dance number?? I died there! Haha. Temporary death, then I resurrected just when Rubi has started. Haha. My, I love you Angelica Panganiban! You're SENSATIONAL!!! I will HAVE to meet you someday although I somehow did when I used to come across you everyday on the 6th floor of Talent Center. Do I now have to get slapped across the face because I am such a fan??
Meanwhile, let me first take a loooong and relaxing hot shower because I still have a book to read. Don't you think my life is so stress-free? This is exactly what I needed. Away from drinks, booze, and late-night stay-ins. BABOOOOSHABLES!!
It is so refreshing to see new talents flourish and score high guns in the limelight of Philippine television today. And I must say with great pride that this new talent search of Philippine media giant - ABS-CBN - has certainly attracted more and more viewers not just in the local market but most of all, on a larger and wider scope that is the international scene.
Unarguably, if there is anyone from the vast number of contestants who made it to the semi-finals, I shall definitely claim without doubt that the ONLY one who elicited major goosebumps all over my body and sent shivers down my spine is 16 year old wonder Jovit Baldivino from Batangas who not only wowed the audience with his fascinating voice but also drove them into tears. And that included me.
There's just something about this kid. He hasn't even started talking yet, but I am already pinched at heart. I guess it's in the eyes. Those eyes tell a story that majority of us here in the blogosphere are lucky enough to not have gone through. His innocence seems untouched, and his humility brings us back to how we were first taught to remain humble and not contain too much pride. At a very young age, he has worked his way through life, even selling Chinese dimsum after class just for him to be able to lessen all the boulder on their impoverished life. You know that his wits are not honed by the formal training of elitism but by the whips and blows of living his hard knock days.
I am just so happy for him that I couldn't contain myself. I get really touched and at the same time very happy for the less fortunate ones to be given the much-needed chance to show whatever God-given talent they have acquired. And with this kid wonder right here, 3,000,000++ views on YouTube is a sign of a long way to run. But this time, rest assured, it's on a better road that promises a smooth sail to stardom. :)
I woke up in the wrong side of the bed. I guess that's pretty much like it.
Well I'm actually putting part the blame to my sleeping positions because lately I haven't been really getting it quite right. Dreaming of a rather unpleasant memory didn't help either. It was all assembled to form one helluva roll ball of emotions yesterday and the night before, and when I got up this morning, I just knew I didn't start the day right.
So usually when I have again succumbed into this one big pathetic mess (which I occasionally find exciting), I turn to television. More like the movies actually, but not in the movie house. The least thing I would find much likely for me to do on a blaah day like this is to go out and look for an outfit. So for today, I slid into the most unflattering piece of clothing in my closet and stacked a pile of junkfood in front of me. I knew it will be a long day ahead of me so I better get myself ready for some serious clash of hormonal imbalance and mood swings.
I watched Gossip Girl. I cried when I watched this scene way back from season 1, when Blair was about to leave New York because her world was falling apart. She lost her trusted army of Chanel-sucking minions and all that she planned ahead of her were broken apart. It was quite heartbreaking, although at the same time it ticked my head and brought back a couple of memories.
I always loved the Blair and Serena scenes in Gossip Girl because honestly, I can relate. Watching episodes of the tv show would make memories - all of which were rather buried in oblivion - run through past my head again just like it only occurred yesterday. I guess it's part of this whole getting-to-know-yourself-better stage, when you are brought back to how everything used to be and they all come flashing back right before your eyes only to find out that they are gone.
I am missing a lot of people now. People whom I have taken for granted and left out in the air for a long time. It took me some serious contemplating before I was able to figure out things on my own, and I guess today is part of that chapter in my life when a person is being confronted with mistakes they have made, with people they have hurt, and with the chances they opted not to take. It's quite okay for me though, because I know that after this phase of self-discovery, I will come out to the world as a much better person. And maybe, just maybe, for that particular time that I have already spun into a better individual, I am already brave enough to face the world ahead of me - without really having to feel like leaving, not like how Blair felt with her misery.
I am not really having issues with friends. I love the friends that I have now and undeniably, I am quite sure I will not be able to find another group of people who can love me and accept me for whoever and whatever I am. I guess, I am just missing those people whom I am not friends with anymore. Or those people who, at some point, became one of my closest, yet at a sudden drop, gone wandered a different route and left me out. Or maybe, it was me who took a sudden turn and left them out.
It's a Saturday afternoon now. A gloomy, Saturday afternoon. A cold sweet treat of Hazelnut Brownie ice cream is waiting to be consumed. Maybe for now, I shall skip past this entire stage of trying to figure out everything in my life. For some reason, things happen for much bigger premises which we will never find out about. I don't know why I am being brought back to old memories, and neither do I know the reasons why I had lost the old kind of friendship among those people whom I used to care so much about. But just like what I said, there are reasons in life that we will never know about, and right now, I guess I'm settling down with this - the fact that along the path where I have been trying to search for myself, I have found memories that touched my heart, and reminded me that just like any other friendship that lost its strength, there is still a chance. A chance that maybe, after all, we could still rekindle back our friendship and start a new one. :)
I really don't know if Kim Kardashian really had the balls to pull out an act like this or she was just forced in exchange of a permanent stint in PCD shows in Vegas.
PETA again has been on the fury road after seeing this picture posted on Kim's twitter account after a recent photoshoot. This was their statement:
"Kim Kardashian isn't the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn't needed."
Duh? You don't expect Kim Kardashian to understand any of what you said. Try telling that to Kim Catrall instead.
Okay, hold a second right there. This is me in my full-fledged over-devoted jologs self. You have to understand that, this being a very active alter-ego of mine, I will need to get a handle on some things that are equally as jologs as I am but believe me this one has got a swish of grand! Really! Okay so here it goes:
Gretchen Barretto and Bea Alonzo in Magkaribal. Together with Derek Ramsey.
I am not so sure if I shall get all giddy with the cast but...BUT....can you just drop this off without being reminded that if there is one thing to consider in this show, it would be the FAAAAAAAH-SHIIIIOOOOON?!?!? First time Philippines has ever produced a series like this!!!! Claudine Barretto's Iisa Pa Lamang would come a close second, but I'm sure this would be more fashionable! Now I'm getting all giddy about it. Loveit!
Anyhoodle, speaking of TV stars, here's another overrated figure I permanently DISGORGED out of my human system right after I barged out of my yuppie years. A graph for the ever famous lakwacherang negra of daytime television. You should see this Dora. Maybe you should consider new career choices. It's never too late.
It has practically been two days since my last post and this sorta scared the chicken shit out of me. You see, I get occasional bloggorhea attacks and usually when it pops, it just never stops.
ANYHOODLE, I was again doing my daily routine of hopping from one website to another and to my surprise, I found this:
This is one drink I would never, ever dare drink EVER.
Karl Lagerfeld dressed up bottles of diet coke and made it look too swanky upper-class you wouldn't even dare think of getting tempted to drink it.
Could they really be serious about this? I mean I know it's really out there, but, why...DIET COKE?? Why not Britney Spears? She badly needs to get dressed up, urgent; real talk. You wouldn't want people like her to go out and look like a lampshade in a 1950's whorehouse and think that a fishnet could actually double as a body suit on a chilling weather and that hair could be dipped on a vat of melted leather shoes just to get a darker hue for that perfect holy communion curls when she's actually going to a party for middle-aged women who once were members of Alcoholics Anonymous and were steady followers of Dr. Phil who talk to them about babies, and divorce, and Cheetos, and why they are not allowed to put their babies in the front seat, right Uncle Karl?
I just think she needs to freshen up. Just sayin'.

Speaking of crazy people, I was watching Ellen last night when I caught a chance to see Beyonce perform Single Ladies live and I thought it was just one of the craziest performances ever because I don't think I could crack my chance of doing something like that without losing a bone anywhere between my lungs and my ribcage, or maybe even my hips. Maybe even bones from my entire body...I dunno... just take a look at it:
Don't you think it's completely not normal to do something like that on live television especially during the last few lines of the song when she was dancing like...I don't even know how to describe it??
Again, because I am such a big fan of nosing around fan-made celebrity pages and I love seeing surprises, although not technically always, I have found this:
Christina Aguilera's new album cover. Who thought she would still rise back from the ashes of post-partum weight gain? It is rarely witnessed upon celebrities today, although there are really hardworking ones who bounce back to their old shape.
As to this cover, well, we now have another original who embraced the discipline of lunacy and has again become another Lady GaGa protégé. I don't know if this is really the case in point but I think celebrities were so overwhelmed with the whole outrageously erratic Lady GaGa concept, they really think they could be another Stefani Germanotta in the making. Huuuuh, crazy. Facing this picture, the left part of the face is flawless and as usual Christina Aguilera's eyebrows are missing.

ANYHOODLE, does anyone of you still remember Heidi Montag? Reality starlet from The Hills? The blonde robotic tart who loves ditching all her friends for that bootless walking fuck, Spencer Pratt? Uhm...still not familiar? Well Heidi Montag is someone who tried her hand on acting, singing, and on Spencer Pratt's underpants and failed at them three miserably. Yes, she is that, and surprisingly she is popular.
So I've heard about the whole plastic surgery craze she's been into like months ago but I have never clearly seen the finished Heidi Montag product. Well this is how she looked like years before she decided she wanted to be perfect:
This is Heidi Montag.
While this...is a very bad excuse for a celebrity. Perhaps also a bad take on Mattel's Barbie doll. Aside from the fact that she is not herself now and is an entirely different person, Heidi Montag had ten (10!!!!!!!) plastic surgeries from head to toe all performed right after the other.
THIS...is even crazier than Lady GaGa. As for me, let me first get over with the thought of having ten surgical procedures done on one human body all at the same time. :/
I have always been a fan of Gossip Girl and its clean-cut, high-end school-girl fashion, but since Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen started to venture out for a music career, their wardrobe picks have also slumped down a great deal. Here are two pictures that stuck on my head:
I really don't know what has happened to Leighton Meester her royal highness but I just wish she never wore those pants. Aside from the fact that it looks like three elderly grandmothers died in that crap, it also looks like it had some really bad encounter with a league of angry butterflies. You know that this is not a very good choice because Michelle Trachtenberg is laughing in the backgound.
Meanwhile...
TAYLOR MOMSEN looks like this at sixteen.
When all my girl friends were sixteen, they were only starting to learn how to put one layer of cheap eye color on their crease. Taylor, on the other hand (aside from looking like a demented cocker spaniel) looks like she sew her own top out of a living room curtain, mugged a throng out of Joan Jett's eye makeup kit and decided that she wanted to be a raccoon all her life. I wonder what she will look like when she turns 20.
I guess that could be all. I just shared my part. I miss Gossip Girl. :\
My name is Rolly Marcial. Brought forth into human existence on the 13th day of Semptember 1990 - six years before the rise of the Spice Girls caused sudden alteration in the minds of those who were sure they were straight. Born, raised, and mostly influenced in bustling Manila area, I grew up in a city of day-to-day affliction and a staggering degree of traffic - something that should have taught me a good sense of immediacy yet I bloomed as a torpid sloth who thrives in a fast paced lifestyle. I am, in the rarest sense of the term, a very complicated person. Growing up in a very conservative Filipino family, taught at the best universities, yet influenced by a bastion of crazy people have spun into this irony of monstrosity. I am not exactly the sweetest type you could fool around with. I'm a big ball of perplexities and I've got a lot to pull up my sleeves. My head's flow does not compare with yours; I'm a hard-bound mathematics offprint you can never understand...you just thought you could.

Hi, my name's Rolly and I believe I'm 17. I am an ambitious boneheaded mouthpiece securing a bulk of half-witted ideas and a lot more rubbish. I'm an all out sucker for fashion, television, and everything else in between. So, what's up?
