Moschino Spring 2011 Collection

GENIUS! MOSCHINO GENIUS!

I have never been smoothly oriented with anything Moschino. Seriously. And somewhere between the ages of ten to fifteen, I have been seeing their scents everywhere thinking they were bargain-priced drugstore products. NOT.

For this year's Spring collection, Moschino brags an assortment of lush, plush, and a much deeper definition of funky opulence brought to a higher level. With an exciting interweave of colors and impeccable Italian tailoring, Moschino has certainly gotten me craving for some more tasty clothing. :)

Now that's definitely no drugstore brand. ;)

Sex & the City 2: New York Movie Premiere

So what do we all expect from a movie starred by 40-something women who are more likely rooted to fashion that in actually putting some good piece of acting prowess into film?

Dresses! Shoes! Handbags! Designers! Botox-dependent women! Sarah Jessica Parker looking like a secret love-child of a paint spill and an orange colored self-tan spray-on!

I told you. Albeit I do not find anything extra-special with this dress, sometimes - less is really MORE and SJP has twerked it all her way with this well-played ensemble that caught the sights of non-television viewing bystanders who happen to have found a nice decent spot around the corner.

And let me never forget that once upon a time in terribly flaming weather, the first installment has totally encouraged me to get my ass off a lazyboy couch and queue-in in a chaotic heat-stricken enrollment day just because I felt like walking around as I imagined myself in the streets of New York.

Also spotted were Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Szchor, and other cast of the sequel. The outifts were very-classy, and there were basically no other atendees who crossed the "I'm sane, let me in" borderline and went all out with a crazy get-up. That's a whole lot of good lovin' coming from mid-aged women (Sarah Jessica Parker) who usually wore electrifying (read: INYOURFACE ELECTRIFYING) dresses with a big intricate mash of headband falling off her head and some giant shoulder pads thrown at her chest like she's not ever gonna get taunted by the public. UGHCK. Sometimes we shall all learn how to thank historical circumstances when SJP is on a lay-low mood and is not feeling like she's an 18-year old debutant who throws tanturms on anything that's not brightly colored. So for this one, I LOVE IT! All in all, I love the dresses, especially that of the four main stars who lead the cast of the movie. . .

Until all of the sudden you see Gabourey Sidibe. . .

Wearing a black long-sleeved dress that must have probably been borrowed from their neighborhood's law firm secretary.

In college, we wear uniform

Did it ever, in your entire years of mortal existence, occur to you that apart from the exclusive upper-crust universities in the United States of America, STILL stand a conglomeration of college institutions that habilitate your four year academic survival with a SCHOOL UNIFORM? (?????)

Because in the seven thousand something islands of the Philippines, in a faaaaar far away land called Davao, a standard school regalia of white terno for women and blue shirt / khaki pants are being constrained.

I wish the college superiors, for the love and joy and betterment of everyone, allow no dress code whatsoever this coming semester.

...and then again I was reminded our school is run by priests. AMEN.

Work It, I'm a Freak Bitch, Baby!

Since the politicians and half the entire population of our country have seemed to roll themselves altogether into one gigantic screwball of election scruffle, I decided I must rather course upon another favored topic so as not to add further cat fit into this giant political horseplay.

Look what I have found:

Lady GaGa T-Shirts!!! COVET!!! ACHIEVE!!! Don't you think this perfectly balances all the stressful vibes that the elections have brought to this country?? ILOVEIT!!!

PAGING ALL THE NEWLY BRED POLITICIANS OF THE PHILIPPINES: I believe you have all been directed to be informed that clothing - alongside food, shelter, and freedom - is a considerable and much critical form of a distinguished necessity. Failure to accede and comply by this assertion, as well as the abortion of the proposed mass distribution of useful clothing, will result to a dire manifestation of forsaking the needs of the nation and the humankind in general. Let it be extended to you, our leaders, that I, in behalf of all my fellow countrymen, demand a full reimbursement of $19 per shirt or we shall all summon to encourage a revolt against your present administration. Thankyouverymuch.

Meanwhile, here's another refreshing NECESSITY to watch out for. Look what Uncle Karl has engineered - a short film!

Official Music Video of Can't Be Tamed - Miley Cyrus

Mmkay, so what we've got here is a Britney Spears version 2.0 with longer locks of auburn curls, ridiculously giant wings, and well, a better singing voice for a caged crow(?) . . . wait, OMG she's a caged crow???? I'm a slave much??? Miley the new Britney Spears under-study???

Okay, serious. Too young for sexy? Well yes, I guess. But if little 14 year-old dumplings in the Philippines are already parading their skin and flashing do-it-yourself cleavages, then what difference does it make for American girls? You guess - A LOT (you heard of the Vanessa Hudgens story, don't pretend). Albeit I remain sturdy with my opinion that it must have been a greater idea had they considered making Miley a gold fish instead. She looks perfect for the part. You know what I mean. LOL.

Now surprisingly, I love the video. Why? Because I'm a die-hard fan with a mind impervious to reason, ha!, although I completely understand that this is a fair manifestation of a baby prostitute, as long as Miley never gets dubbed of a living blow up doll, I'd still be fine.

My, I'm such a fan. (insert rolling eyes icon here and place four fingers down my throat) Haha, boo.

Seriously, an Electronic Cigarette?

For four years now since I was fifteen, I have been compulsively smoking snuffs and shags out of each and every cigarette that touches my hands, and so far, I haven't been really so proud of it.

First off, I get easily discomposed whenever the urge starts to travel up my mouth and compels me to have something pinned between my lips, which gets really annoying. And usually at night, just in time for my most superstitious psyche of the day, I would find myself standing broomstick straight outside of our house as I puff the dark hours away under a creepy and spine-chilling pitch dark.

Well so much about my lengthy roots. What really brought me up to make this post was that earlier this morning just right after I accidentally spoiled coffee all over the daily paper, I caught an article of e-Cigarettes in it. Okay, quick recall one month ago: my friend Rush Lelis was itching for another prized bargain which blew the hell out of her smoking lungs because cigarettes now come with a charger. NOW SRSLY NEWSPAPER ARTICLE FOR A CIGARETTE? HAS BATTERIES? And it's ELECTRONIC??

Mmkay, so at first glance it looked like some dismantled Parker pen although I was quite enchanted with the fact that it is indeed electronic and it comes in pink, too, not just some phony bogus like pictures of beer powder and Marlboro dope spreading all over the internet. And right there and then I thought if maybe it could also be possible to have electronic food?

ANYWAY, beyond question, this has certainly surged up rockets in the manner of smoking, and I heard they have now conceptualized new product versions that do not emit unpleasant tobacco odor, so I guess that equals the feeling of having a thorn pulled out from my back since I wouldn't have to stand creepy nights outside of our house anymore. LOL.

The e-Cigarette is a battery-powered device that provides vaporized nicotine solution which you could inhale. They also have flavors, too - menthol, vanilla, caramel, and even coffee. As how I would interpret, I guess the e-Cigarette would give the same purported delivery of smoke just like the Shisha which also requires to be refilled after the oil/solution has dissipated.

Well, I am not yet decided on how I would place my take on this one, but I guess for now I would already be at my happiest with a pack of standard cigarettes. After all, four years of a love-hate relationship with my cigars is more than enough, not that I'm not putting limitations, to set good foundation for a longer-lasting friendship. ;)

On a Saturday afternoon, I cried.

I woke up in the wrong side of the bed. I guess that's pretty much like it.

Well I'm actually putting part the blame to my sleeping positions because lately I haven't been really getting it quite right. Dreaming of a rather unpleasant memory didn't help either. It was all assembled to form one helluva roll ball of emotions yesterday and the night before, and when I got up this morning, I just knew I didn't start the day right.

So usually when I have again succumbed into this one big pathetic mess (which I occasionally find exciting), I turn to television. More like the movies actually, but not in the movie house. The least thing I would find much likely for me to do on a blaah day like this is to go out and look for an outfit. So for today, I slid into the most unflattering piece of clothing in my closet and stacked a pile of junkfood in front of me. I knew it will be a long day ahead of me so I better get myself ready for some serious clash of hormonal imbalance and mood swings.

I watched Gossip Girl. I cried when I watched this scene way back from season 1, when Blair was about to leave New York because her world was falling apart. She lost her trusted army of Chanel-sucking minions and all that she planned ahead of her were broken apart. It was quite heartbreaking, although at the same time it ticked my head and brought back a couple of memories.

I always loved the Blair and Serena scenes in Gossip Girl because honestly, I can relate. Watching episodes of the tv show would make memories - all of which were rather buried in oblivion - run through past my head again just like it only occurred yesterday. I guess it's part of this whole getting-to-know-yourself-better stage, when you are brought back to how everything used to be and they all come flashing back right before your eyes only to find out that they are gone.

I am missing a lot of people now. People whom I have taken for granted and left out in the air for a long time. It took me some serious contemplating before I was able to figure out things on my own, and I guess today is part of that chapter in my life when a person is being confronted with mistakes they have made, with people they have hurt, and with the chances they opted not to take. It's quite okay for me though, because I know that after this phase of self-discovery, I will come out to the world as a much better person. And maybe, just maybe, for that particular time that I have already spun into a better individual, I am already brave enough to face the world ahead of me - without really having to feel like leaving, not like how Blair felt with her misery.

I am not really having issues with friends. I love the friends that I have now and undeniably, I am quite sure I will not be able to find another group of people who can love me and accept me for whoever and whatever I am. I guess, I am just missing those people whom I am not friends with anymore. Or those people who, at some point, became one of my closest, yet at a sudden drop, gone wandered a different route and left me out. Or maybe, it was me who took a sudden turn and left them out.

It's a Saturday afternoon now. A gloomy, Saturday afternoon. A cold sweet treat of Hazelnut Brownie ice cream is waiting to be consumed. Maybe for now, I shall skip past this entire stage of trying to figure out everything in my life. For some reason, things happen for much bigger premises which we will never find out about. I don't know why I am being brought back to old memories, and neither do I know the reasons why I had lost the old kind of friendship among those people whom I used to care so much about. But just like what I said, there are reasons in life that we will never know about, and right now, I guess I'm settling down with this - the fact that along the path where I have been trying to search for myself, I have found memories that touched my heart, and reminded me that just like any other friendship that lost its strength, there is still a chance. A chance that maybe, after all, we could still rekindle back our friendship and start a new one. :)

XOXO.

Siobhan, Siobhan. So long Siobhan.

Eccentric voice glass breaker Siobhan Magnus left Idol after she got booted out from the show's 9th season, leaving the crowd panting for breath with her kickass farewell performance of "Think".

I actually don't understand why she got booted out. All the judges were all out on their praises, and I was quite certain with the thought that she has a lot of supporters.

My Siobhan, I really liked you. You were always unpredictable. You caused major damage to my eardrums once when you released all your deep-rooted anger in the world as you spiked up that tune in "Paint it Black".

I got scared. I hid under the blanket, but that's how I like it. Getting scared. Hiding under the blanket. You were the only one who dare pose on the stage with a mid-cuff length gypsy skirt, grunge-out top made of curtains, and studded shoulder straps that looked like it was morbidly abducted from a poor backpack. So why didn't everybody like you? Don't they realize how hardcore you are? Haven't they heard this?

I wish they did. And I wish they all voted for you. You were quite off-key when you started but it blew me off my chair when you started to scream.

Maybe Simon would help you build up your own record. :)

Paul Smith Fall 2010 Collection

Old news, dork. The fashion show for the Paul Smith Fall 2010 collection has long been overdue and it was just now that I have been reminded to put on file this overly elapsed blog post for a huge assemblage of wardrobe candy.

The collection was an extensive array of formal to semi-formal workday apparel which consisted of a balanced fuse of fiery colors and under toned shades. Everything was superbly kickass! The loud colors were creatively infused with calming hues of washed gray and solid black to polish every look into dandy perfection; perfect for the British gentlemen of the imposed "dose of rebel style" by Mr. Smith himself. Now is it just me or do we all see Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl sporting this in his daily schtick of bikini chase?

Or maybe Johnny Depp? Or was it the models?

Ferosha. Stickbuild. And Cheekbones! Perfect!

This brightness of peacock blue is definitely one good way to express fashion passion and corporate affluence.

I told you JEJEMONS, you have to change.

The day has come. They are everywhere. And I was at my MOST ALARMED STATE EVER this morning when I found out that people from the higher office as well as the presidential candidates have started to become equally as agitated and alerted by the profuse evidence spreading all over the country regarding the Jejemon schemes for conspiracy, hence this video:

You heard it. Now we shall all be forewarned for they are now circulating all over our beloved social networking sites and their jejemon schemes are beating the high drums for a plot that will turn FACEBOOK into pFeSzXBvYuOcKxz and worse, BLOGGER into bVL@GgUeRr.

They are spreading like killer cellphone radiation, unmistakably dangerous, albeit a promise from another presidentiable has been photographed early on just in time before this group of newly bred people can strike sudden mayhem out of this once jejemon-free country:

Gibo, You are OUR president. You are exactly what we NEED. I told them all JEJEMONS once that there is HOPE under a good presidency. Although I am not yet very certain if I would place my vote for you, not because I am in a scruple of doubts toward your capability of sending back the jejemons to elementary school, but because...am I even a registered voter??

SO ANYWAY, after I literally trembled in fear that I might actually be developing a tendency to become a youngjejemonskie in training (good heavens forbid) since I have been too struck out of their INCOMPREHENSIBLE ways of typing, I realized that, JEJEMONS indeed are actually quite creative. Read on:
  • aQcKuHh - me/ako
  • lAbqCkyOuHh - I love you
  • yuHh - you
  • jAjaJa - garbled words conveying laughter
  • jeJejE - a variation of jAjaJa; conveys sly laughter
  • iMiszqcKyuH - I miss you
  • eEoW pFhUeEhsxz - hi/hello po
(Word translations from TJs Daily)

Although they exude a rather GROTESQUE sense of creativity, I would still say my brace of bolster would go for the benefit of the Jejebusters of this world. I just want peace and prosperity in this country and I believe that a Jejemon elimination program for the PHILIPPINES would be an EXCELLENT starting platform for the soon-to-be elected president.

But still, WE ALL HAVE TO BE CAREFUL. THEY ARE DANGEROUS. Isn't it THREATENING to you whenever you receive unfamiliar text messages like hEyYsZ,,!,,mHeYrh00wN pHowSz kEu hLLOWwDdzs.??.,,ajejejeje. because seriously I get terrified just by hearing jejes screaming at the top of their lungs. So please, people. BE CAREFUL. Again, don't tell me I didn't warn you.

Understanding Mary Kate

Behold, Mary Kate Olsen....

The disheveled Goddess who, from this outfit, looks like she took inspiration from a vintage linen Clearance Sale and the Association of Golden Grandmothers' year-ender campaign, make-a-cape project - wandering the premises of her natural habitat: shopping centers.

Whenever I lay my eyes on the Olsen twins, like, most especially MARY KATE, I just feel like, say, taking a very long and hot shower or maybe try to understand something like...the science of astronomy or maybe politics. Or maybe Lady GaGa for that matter.

Which is why I am really, really confused with this entire get-up because this just feels like a bad marriage of Country Living Home Furniture and something that your elderly relative would most likely wear on a grocery trip for the family's thanksgiving dinner. AND WHEN SHE FINALLY DECIDES to throw all that grungy old momma feel out OF the window, she comes up with something like this:

OR THIS:

There's a BIG possibility that the other little Olsen twin is hidden under that multitude layer of bath robes (which is like, most possibly mugged out from a New York City beggar OR MAYBE from the wardrobe set of Annie).

Believe me. I am usually right with my predictions.
